A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR START-UP ENTREPRENEURS IN ICT

The Innovator Trust has announced the launch of a new incubation programme targeted at young, start-up entrepreneurs in the ICT sector. The programme seeks to focus exclusively on entrepreneurs with start-up ICT businesses, trading for less than 2 years. The introduction of a programme solely focusing on start-up entrepreneurs is in direct response to the lack of formal assistance and access to the industry for business owners who are just starting, yet possess the grit and work ethic to get their innovative technological ideas off the ground.

The Innovator Trust Start-Up programme has launched online with a dynamic digital campaign, #MyStartUpMyStory.

The campaign message finds its roots within a familiar South African reality – that in tough times, it is a spirit of resilience that has seen the street-side barber and the local carwash owner with limited means, trade themselves out of trouble. Now, #MyStartUpMyStory aims to engage directly with the entrepreneur, to give them the boost and the resources they need to redefine their opportunity and see it through to a level of sustainability. The Innovator Trust is challenging eligible entrepreneurs to share their stories and apply at the link below, for a chance to be considered for 1 of 10 spots in the 2021 intake.

The following criteria are applicable for entrepreneurs interested in applying:
