Dealing with Janu-worry as an Entrepreneur
The first month of the year is often dubbed as “Janu-worry” because many of us are facing financial worries from overspending during the festive season. It’s also the month known for less- or NO work for entrepreneurs and freelancers.'Know your business cycles!'Entrepreneur, Robyn Thekiso who last year shared how to leap from freelancer to entrepreneur, had this to say about dealing with December and January being such quiet months.
Here is her advice for dealing with the slowdown: “Accept that business is cyclical and understand the rhythms of your sector/industry as you must plan around these. December and January are generally quiet months. That means I only have 10 months to earn my income. In other words, a 10-month income must last for twelve with, hopefully, a bonus for December.”Has January been a quiet month for you or not? Let us know whether you plan for it or not.
