1. 2019 was not a good year for the construction industry in general with some big players closing their doors, we saw Group Five, one of the country’s flagship construction and engineering companies shut their doors last year. 

2. 2020 = Coronavirus - There are reports that local construction projects are being impacted by indefinitely delayed shipments of construction material due to the coronavirus. What is also TRUE is that there are small construction businesses that are keeping their heads above water. Let's talk about Faith Tshepiso Mabena, co-founder and director of 100% black-owned Nokhanya Services, who has been in business since 2012.
